Job summary

West of England Combined Authority is seeking an Investment Analyst to shape investment decisions and test business cases that will influence the region’s economy. You’ll build financial models, assess value for money, and translate complex evidence into clear recommendations for senior leaders.

You’ll work across multi-partner programmes, collaborating with local authorities, government and academia, turning ambitious proposals into investable projects and developing the region’s investment

Qualifications

• Requires degree in finance, economics, business, mathematics or related field.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
• Advanced Excel capability.
• Desirable knowledge of HM Treasury Green Book or public-sector investment appraisal.

Responsibilities

• Appraise complex, multi-million-pound investment proposals and business cases.
• Build financial models, economic assessments and sensitivity analyses.
• Assess value for money, strategic fit, risk and deliverability.
