Job summary

Nest Invest is seeking an Investment Analyst to support the management, monitoring and allocation of Nest’s capital to Private Equity. The role sits within the Public and Private Markets team. This team is responsible for strategic asset allocation, portfolio risk management, manager selection and oversight, responsible investment and stewardship, investment communications, fund administration, operational oversight, investment technology, financial modelling, and investment proposition development.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Investment Manager for Private Equity, the Investment Analyst will support the management, monitoring and allocation of Nest’s capital to Private Equity. This will include portfolio and asset level financial analysis, conducting in-depth market research and due diligence to support investment and manager selection processes, manager monitoring activities, and portfolio administration coordination.

In addition, the role holder is expected to research and understand the macro dynamics and risk and return drivers across private equity and venture capital sectors and geographies, and assist with the identification of new investment opportunities.

The Person

The successful role holder will have experience in Private Equity, gained from either a corporate finance or investment management environment. They will be able to support with financial modelling, manager evaluation and preparing materials for internal committee discussions. They will also be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships across investment managers, industry peers, and other relevant stakeholders. Experience of Co-Investments or direct Private Equity investments is advantageous.

Their skills will include:

The Investment directorate (Nest Invest) is responsible for investing members’ contributions to grow their retirement pots over the long-term. The responsibilities of the team include:
