Job summary

Andromeda Capital Management Ltd. in London is seeking an Investment Analyst to join our team. The role centers on fundamentals research, idea generation and security selection across credit, convertibles and equity-linked instruments, supporting our investment and risk teams throughout the trade life cycle.

You will conduct macro and company-level analysis, develop and defend trade ideas, and use data-driven tools to improve research speed and precision in a fast-paced hedge fund environment.

Qualifications

• Deep interest in investment and macroeconomics; eager to grow within hedge funds.
• Ability to research a company, sector or market and form an independent, well-reasoned view.
• Strong written and verbal communication; distill complex situations into clear recommendations.
• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with equity research, convertible bonds or other equity-linked/hybrid instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct top-down macro and bottom-up fundamental research to generate and support investment ideas.
• Analyse company fundamentals, capital structure, documentation and valuation to form a view on relative value between bonds, convertibles and equity.
• Take ownership of trade recommendations: monitor positions, earnings and catalysts; flag changes to the thesis and sizing/exit.
• Use data and AI-based tools to enhance research speed and repeatability.
