Job summary

Andromeda Capital Management Ltd. in London is seeking an Investment Analyst to join our team. The role centers on fundamentals research, idea generation and security selection across credit, convertibles and equity-linked instruments, supporting our investment and risk teams throughout the trade life cycle.

You will conduct macro and company-level analysis, develop and defend trade ideas, and use data-driven tools to improve research speed and precision in a fast-paced hedge fund environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct top-down macro and bottom-up fundamental research to generate and support investment ideas.
• Analyse company fundamentals, capital structure, documentation and valuation to form a view on relative value between bonds, convertibles and equity.
• Take ownership of trade recommendations: monitor positions, earnings and catalysts; flag changes to the thesis and sizing/exit.
• Use data and AI-based tools to enhance research speed and repeatability.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join our London team. This is a full-time role at the core of our investment process, with a particular focus on fundamentals research, idea generation and security selection across credit, convertible and equity-linked instruments.

About the Role

Andromeda is a global investment management firm focused on alpha generation in fixed income and credit, with a top-down, research-driven and contrarian approach that combines macro analysis with deep dives into corporate fundamentals. As an Analyst, you will work directly with our investment and risk teams to research investment themes, develop and defend trade ideas, and manage risks through the life of the trade. You will cover names and sectors end to end — from macro context and credit fundamentals through to valuation and relative value across a company’s capital structure.

• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to distil a complex situation into a clear recommendation
• A degree in a relevant discipline (economics, finance, engineering, statistics, mathematics, sciences or similar), or equivalent practical experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A motivated self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Experience with equity research, convertible bonds or other equity-linked and hybrid instruments would be a plus
