Analyst – Investment Team - Job Description

Kanadevia Inova Capital (“KVIC”) is seeking an analyst to join its growing investment team focusing on deploying capital in the European and North American biomethane sectors. The analyst will report to investment managers and directors, screening new projects, making investments, and managing current ones. Training in financial modelling, contracts, and analytics will be provided based on initial competencies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Review new investment opportunities and present suitable ones to the team.
• Lead financial modelling of new projects, maintaining and developing in-house models to:
• Update KPIs and assumptions;
• Provide valuations and returns;
• Refine models as projects develop;
• Develop sensitivities and graphical outputs;
• Ensure models reflect contract terms and tax considerations.

Support the investment team in preparing investment committee papers, due diligence, offer letters, and securing project exclusivity. Engage with finance and project teams for analysis and reporting, and produce market research and policy updates related to biomethane and CO2 capture investments. Attend sector conferences and provide insights to the team.
