More About the Role at UniSuper

1. This position supports managing UniSuper’s circa $15 billion Private Markets strategy, which includes direct investments in airports, telecommunications, timberlands, toll roads, PPPs, healthcare, infrastructure, and private equity fund investments. You will work with the Private Markets team to facilitate the strategy's implementation, including supporting origination of new investments, divestments, and active management of existing direct and fund investments, along with portfolio management responsibilities.
2. Lead, develop, and maintain key financial models for direct investments in Private Markets.
3. Assist in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions and divestments, including coordination of transaction processes, commercial due diligence, and financial valuation analysis.
4. Participate in active asset and portfolio management, monitoring performance, and stakeholder reporting.
5. Assist in preparing investment recommendations and reports for UniSuper’s Investment Committee and stakeholders.
6. Generate, review, and present investment ideas and research in Private Markets sectors.
7. Incorporate AI into investment processes and portfolio management to enhance efficiency and innovation.
8. Collaborate closely with other asset class teams within the broader investment team.

About You

1. 3-7 years of experience in private markets investing, fund management, investment banking, or professional services such as M&A advisory, financial due diligence, or valuations.
2. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and presentation skills, capable of synthesizing results and providing insights.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and in teams.
5. Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications (such as CA or CFA) and industry experience.
