Working pattern: (Full-time, 5 days in office)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 p., plus company bens


Marks Sattin is partnering with our client, a Private Equity backed Real Estate firm in Birmingham to recruit an Investment Analyst on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role would be well-suited to a highly analytical University Graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or any other quantitative field.

The ideal candidate will have a passion or interest in Investment Banking, Investment Management, Private Equity or the Real Estate and will have strong analytical and quantitative abilities with proficient Microsoft Excel skills. You will also have a thirst for knowledge, an inquisitive nature and a commercial mind with a passion for business.

The role will sit within the Investment Team and will support the transformation of real estate assets. You will play a critical part in analysing new and existing opportunities, delivering actionable insights, and helping drive informed investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities of the Investment Analyst include:

  • Collaborating with the execution team to support all stages of deal execution, including underwriting, financial modelling, due diligence, and preparing marketing materials.
  • Building, updating, and managing advanced financial models (e. DCF, NPV, IRR) to support transactions, asset valuations, and capital investment decisions
  • Conducting financial and operational analysis, and appraising both existing and prospective investment opportunities
  • Benchmarking asset performance against broader market trends, competitor activity, and macroeconomic indicators
  • Undertaking market research and leveraging data insights to support investment strategy and evaluation
  • Overseeing investment software tools to monitor asset performance, project lease trends, and forecast cash flows
  • Compiling, verifying, and managing large datasets, including sales metrics, customer demographics, and operational performance data
  • Contributing to customer targeting strategies, leasing plans, and marketing decisions through actionable data insights
  • Supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing customer engagement, dwell time, and revenue generation across the portfolio
  • Producing clear dashboards, reports, and visualisations to effectively communicate data-driven insights to senior stakeholders
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal and external reporting materials, including presentations for stakeholders
  • Gathering and organising data for regular reporting cycles and assisting in the delivery of reporting outputs
  • Supporting compliance reporting and contributing to processes related to fundraising and refinancing activities

To b considered, you will:

  • Hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or in another quantitative field
  • Have some experience in or have a keen interest in investment banking, private equity or the real estate sector
  • Have strong analytical and quantitative abilities
  • Be an advanced user of Excel or have the ability to quickly become proficient
  • Have an interest in Business Intelligence tools, to be used to drive better data-driven decisions
  • Have a sincere commitment to personal and professional development
  • Have a strong work ethic with a desire to work in a team environment with dynamic roles
