About this role

BlackRock is seeking an Associate within Fund Board Governance, responsible for ensuring high standards of corporate governance across UK entities. You will work closely with internal teams and external directors to manage board activities, maintain relationships, and support governance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high standards of corporate governance within all BlackRock UK companies;
  • Prepare and distribute Board packs, draft minutes, and monitor Board delegations;
  • Build relationships with Chairpersons and Directors;
  • Manage shareholder meetings and ensure quality of submissions;
  • Update company records and assist in document drafting and review;
  • Support governance frameworks and compliance with regulatory obligations;
  • Contribute to process improvements and provide governance advice to the business.

Experience

  • Qualified Company Secretary experience preferred but not essential;
  • Strong communication and minute-taking skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility;
  • Highly organized with excellent time management;
  • Experience with Blueprint Software and understanding of UK investment markets are advantageous;
  • Knowledge of UK fund regulatory environment is a plus.
