Location: Southampton Central (or West)

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Monday 12th May 2025 @ 23:59 hrs

Note: This vacancy is only open to Accredited PIP2 Police Staff Investigators. Applications from others will not be considered.

Role Overview

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary seeks an Investigator Development & Portfolio Assessor to assess and support candidates progressing through their PIP2 journey, ensuring they meet competency standards and achieve accreditation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct face-to-face assessments and reviews with candidates.
  • Manage assessment schedules aligning with operational demands.
  • Provide guidance on accreditation standards in line with Force and College of Policing requirements.
  • Collaborate with Investigation teams to gather evidence for candidate portfolios.
  • Develop personalized growth plans based on candidate needs.
Candidate Requirements
  • Must be a PIP2 accredited PSI with at least 12 months operational experience.
  • Ability to create assessment plans and choose suitable methods.
  • Skilled in evidence evaluation and unbiased judgment.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in personal development advising.
  • Effective workload planning and relationship building skills.
