Job description

Help us to assess and investigate initial reports of crime, supporting our force to keep Leicestershire safe.

As an Investigator for the Assessment and Investigation Unit, you will be making a real difference to people’s lives, helping them at their most vulnerable.

If you have a natural curiosity and desire to be part of a team that helps protect the public, this might be the role for you!

You will be managing a wide variety of initial reports of crime via various means of contact, including phone, online and video consultations.

You’ll be identifying and recording disclosed criminal offences, assessing threat, risk, and harm to ensure victims are safeguarded. This early intervention will help to increase public confidence through the early resolution of crime and incidents.

The role

This is an office-based role working Monday – Sunday between 07:00 – 22:00, on a rotational shift pattern, which will include a shift pattern allowance. We have full-time opportunities available along with part-time roles within a job share agreement.
