We're looking for a professional and proactive Investigation Officer to join our client. In this critical role, you will lead comprehensive investigations, gather and evaluate evidence, and produce high-quality reports that support disciplinary and criminal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and manage end-to-end investigations on allocated cases.
  • Develop and implement effective investigative strategies.
  • Collect evidence, visit incident scenes, and conduct interviews.
  • Maintain accurate records using the case work management system.
  • Apply relevant legislation and policy guidance to investigative decisions.
  • Draft professional reports with evidence-based recommendations.
  • Participate in a 24/7 On-Call rota (currently every 1 in 7 weeks).
  • Ensure all information is handled in compliance with GDPR and confidentiality standards.
  • Uphold equality, diversity, and ethical standards at all times.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Criteria:
You must meet one of the following:

  • A degree (or equivalent) and 1+ year of professional investigative experience in criminal justice or a similar setting.
    OR
  • 3+ years of established investigative experience in criminal justice or similar fields (if no degree).

You must also demonstrate:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical ability to interpret complex information and draw conclusions
  • Report writing skills with evidence-based recommendations
  • Proficiency in IT systems, especially case management tools

Additional Requirements:

  • PIP Level 1 accreditation (or higher)
  • A full driving licence valid in Northern Ireland
