Job description

Inventory Systems Analyst - Oracle & MS Access
Location: Warwick on a Hybrid basis 3 days a week
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + benefits


Summary:
Fantastic opportunity to join a long-established business that is highly committed to achieving customer focused results. The successful candidate will utilise a strong blend of analytical and systems capability (including advanced MS Access) together with a depth of operational inventory management knowledge to develop effective and efficient forecasting and inventory management solutions and processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oracle SCM Planning System Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert by mastering system functionality, ensuring data integrity, managing upgrades, and developing intuitive layouts, views, and reports.
  2. Process & Reporting Development: Design efficient planning and inventory management processes, and build dynamic reports using tools like Oracle FBDI, SQL, MS Access, Business Objects, and Excel to support data-driven decisions.
  3. Training & Documentation: Create structured training materials and reference documentation for both planners and system administrators to ensure effective system use.
  4. Operational Support & Issue Management: Monitor system operations, proactively manage issues, and support the Inventory team in achieving KPIs related to product availability, stock quality, and consumer satisfaction.

Key Skills/Experience:
  1. Advanced Technical & Analytical Skills: Demonstrated advanced capability in MS Access, together with Excel and SQL, for managing and analysing complex datasets, with strong ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  2. Inventory Management Knowledge: Hands-on experience with inventory systems and planning concepts, including forecasting, safety stock, parameters, master data and technical setup/configuration.
  3. Problem-Solving & Detail Orientation: Skilled in identifying data anomalies, performing root cause analysis, and implementing lasting solutions with high attention to detail.
  4. Effective Communication & Continuous Improvement: Strong communicator with the ability to train others, challenge existing processes constructively, and drive continuous improvement using tools like Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
