Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Stock Controller in Chatteris to join a fast-paced team. The role covers stock accuracy, movements and process improvements, with regular reconciliations and ERP system maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in stock management, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm in-office, permanent role with a salary up to £30,000.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in stock management.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Calm and professional under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confident telephone manner.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
• Good IT skills and experience using an ERP system.
• FMCG experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate stock records within the company ERP system.
• Process stock movements and transfers between locations.
• Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages.
• Work closely with planning and operational teams to resolve stock issues.
• Support improvements to stock control and reprocessing procedures.
• Liaise with internal teams and external logistics/operational partners.
• Maintain an organised workflow and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Respond to incoming calls and emails professionally.
• Support the wider team in meeting customer service and operational targets.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across stock processes.
