Wells Onshore Materials Management Specialist

Scope/Overall Purpose of Job

Provide materials control support for wells operations across all aspects of inventory management.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Deliver material management support to drilling operations.
  2. Act as the co-ordination and liaison focal point between onshore Engineering team and offshore Drilling Materials Controller, external suppliers, and warehousing providers to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet drilling schedules.
  3. Act as focal point for Kabal end-to-end process with regards to materials, including vendor training, time planner preparation, issue/manage/close out cargo packages, and monitor well consumption and inventories with Offshore DMC.
  4. Co-ordinate with Freight Management supplier and/or aviation supplier for any urgent air freight requirements.
  5. Provide real-time information (including that from the company ERP system) on inventory material availability to key stakeholders.
  6. Resolve queries in relation to material status, supply, and/or availability and perform any required company ERP system interrogation.
  7. Perform all materials management processes within SAP for the drilling operations, these processes to be undertaken in advance of any materials being physically moved.
  8. Identify any requirements for marine vessels to support operations and pass these requirements to company Logistics and SCM team for engagement with the assigned vessel Broker.
  9. Create Material Masters Requests for Wells equipment and requisitions for all Materials purchases for Wells in e-procurement system (SAP).
  10. Support the resolution of any discrepancies identified during inventory counts on Wells Materials.
  11. OCTG Materials planning for all wells operations, including engagement with suppliers and Wells Engineering team to ensure timely procurement of long lead items.
  12. Preparation of Well Reconciliation within [60] days of completion of drilling and completion operations on the Well and/or campaign.
  13. Participate in Inventory Count programme for third-party vendor sites and warehouses, carry out cycle counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Experience Required

Minimum 10 - 15 years in materials and inventory management in a Wells/Drilling environment.

Strong system knowledge and experience - SAP MM Module, Kabal, and Microsoft Office (specifically MS Excel).

Qualifications/Competencies Required and Preferred

Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities across a diverse set of responsibilities with multiple stakeholders.

Team player with excellent communication skills, ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders both internal and external.
