Inventory Auditor

Shift Times: 06.00 - 14.00 - Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: 17.23
Location: Progress Way, Birmingham, B40 1AB

We are currently recruiting an Inventory Auditor on behalf of our client, a leading automotive manufacturer. This role is key to ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting operational efficiency within a high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform cycle counts of all inventory items across the site.
    • Develop and maintain a cycle count tracker aligned to A/B/C stock classifications.
    • Review booking sheets, report discrepancies to management, and support KPI tracking and improvement actions.
    • Investigate and determine root causes of stock variances (losses and gains).
    • Collaborate with the BOM team to identify and resolve bill of materials errors.
    • Maintain and update manual booking records.
    • Investigate negative stock levels in the system and implement corrective action plans.
    • Support Goods In Clerks in accurately booking inventory using AS400/System 21.
    • Assist in production booking of sequence and scrap reports.
    • Generate plan adherence reports.
    • Raise and process cycle count adjustment sheets.
    • Execute stock adjustments through System 21.
    • Validate booking transactions from the CTS2 system.
    • Audit production scrap bookings within System 21.

Requirements:

    • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive preferred).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
    • Experience with AS400 / System 21 is highly advantageous.
    • Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy.
