Job summary

Barker Ross is seeking an Inventory Controller to join a busy warehouse in Coalville. The role is a 6-month placement with potential for longer-term opportunities, working Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:00, with some flexibility. The role paid at £13.70 per hour and offers weekly pay and onsite parking.

The ideal candidate will have prior stock-count experience, strong knowledge of WMS, and excellent accuracy, plus good communication skills to coordinate with the Stock Team and warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Experience performing stock counts or periodic inventory checks in a busy warehouse.
• Good knowledge of warehouse systems and confidence using WMS.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in stock movements.
• Strong problem-solving skills to investigate discrepancies.
• Clear communication with warehouse teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inventory and stock checks in a busy warehouse.
• Ensure pallets received are correctly receipted in the system.
• Verify pallets are scanned into correct locations.
• Identify mis-scanned or mislocated pallets and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate stock records across the warehouse.
• Work with Stock Team to resolve inventory issues and improve accuracy.
• Use warehouse systems to track, locate and verify stock.
• Support periodic stock counts and inventory checks.
