Job summary

Kinetic Recruitment in Deeside is seeking an Inventory Controller to join a busy manufacturing site on a days-only pattern (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:00). The role is fixed-term for 6 months with the view to become permanent, salary £32,273.

You will run cycle counts in Oracle Cloud, maintain stock accuracy above 98%, and support month-end stock checks while collaborating with Production, Stores, QC and Finance. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience in stock control or inventory in manufacturing.
• Experience using an ERP system; Oracle Cloud is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication and ability to work with multiple teams.
• Ability to work independently with no regular travel.

Responsibilities

• Follow site health and safety rules and wear PPE.
• Manage the site cycle count programme using Oracle Cloud.
• Complete regular stock counts and reconcile with system records.
• Maintain inventory accuracy of 98% or above.
• Investigate stock variances and identify causes.
• Make approved stock adjustments in Oracle; escalate larger adjustments.
• Check bulk tanks, WIP and stock usage against records.
• Perform batch usage checks against BOMs and report issues.
• Resolve negative stock balances and other inventory issues.
• Complete month-end stock checks and support stock takes.
• Identify slow-moving, expired, damaged or obsolete stock.
• Provide weekly inventory reports and flag problems.
• Support audits and provide stock records as required.
• Collaborate with Production, Stores, QC, Finance and EHS to resolve issues.
• Help improve stock control processes and train colleagues.

Kinetic Recruitment are looking to recruit an Inventory Controller, to work for a busy Manufacturing site, based within the Deeside area. Days-only working pattern - Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:00pm. Salary: £32,273. Fixed term contact for 6 month, with the view to become permanent.

Main Responsibilities

• Follow all site health and safety rules and wear the required PPE.
• Manage the site cycle count programme using Oracle Cloud.
• Complete regular stock counts and make sure physical stock matches system records.
• Keep inventory accuracy at 98% or above.
• Investigate stock differences and identify the reason for each variance.
• Make approved stock adjustments in Oracle and elevate larger adjustments for approval.
• Check bulk tanks, work in progress and stock usage against system records.
• Check batch usage against BOMs and report any issues.
• Resolve negative stock balances and other inventory system issues.
• Complete month-end stock checks and support the annual stocktake.
• Identify slow-moving, expired, damaged and obsolete stock.
• Provide weekly inventory reports and highlight any problems.
• Support audits and provide stock records when required.
• Work with Production, Stores, QC, Finance and EHS to resolve stock issues.
• Help improve stock control processes and train colleagues on correct stock transactions.

Requirements

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience in stock control or inventory, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience using an ERP system; Oracle Cloud is preferred.
• Good Excel skills.
• Good understanding of stock control, cycle counting and stock variances.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy with numbers.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with other teams.
• No regular travel.
• Medium physical activity, including walking around the site, climbing stairs and counting stock in different areas.
