About this Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our team in Dandenong South. Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for inventory management of the packaging / Ingredients stock control on a daily basis, ensuring that we supply our customers needs, with minimal financial loss to the company through stock write offs and poor inventory management.

A key aspect of the role is liaising with both internal and external customers, therefore you must be an exceptional communicator with a strong customer service focus.

  • Ensure the completion of daily data entry for receivables’ of raw materials, stock-takes, STO, work order Confirmation.
  • Daily SAP transactions for inbound and outbound stock to ensure minimal financial loss to the business through stock dumps and variance.
  • Perform weekly inventory management, including stock balance checks and material reconciliation, using SAP.
  • Record all stock movements daily with approved paperwork.
  • Manage stock of non-milk ingredients, packaging, and spare parts with monthly checks, and fix any issues to reduce losses.
  • Ensure all incoming products are correctly receipted ‘in’ and ‘use by’ recorded then product stored in the correct location.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate delivery schedules and space availability for receival of goods.
  • Daily review of stocks and stock levels to meet production orders.
  • Carry out inventory control, stock balances and reconciliation on materials weekly via SAP.

This position requires a meticulous approach, strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders on site.

About You

  • You will have experience with Inventory Management best practice in a FMCG environment.
  • Functional knowledge of SAP applications is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Sense of urgency with the ability to prioritise and respond quickly to meet production requirements.
  • The confidence to liaise with Internal and External stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be able to demonstrate 5+ years in inventory management, processes and system driven abilities to improve performance.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team, and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in Inventory slotting considering key goals and efficiencies.
  • Exposure to SAP would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • You will work well within a team environment and have a genuine commitment to getting it right the first time, every time.
