CEVA Logistics in the East Midlands Gateway, Derby, is recruiting an Inventory Controller to manage stock integrity, reports, and system data. You will lead a small team, drive stock accuracy, and support KPI delivery across the operation.
You will work with the warehouse team and clients, maintain stock records, run daily and weekly reports, and ensure issues are resolved promptly while following company policies and best practices.
Our operation based in East Midlands Gateway, Derby, has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Inventory Controller to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of all stock and location data, preparing and validating stock reports, and maintaining the integrity of the warehouse stock management systems.
This is a 4-on/3-off, 3-on/4-off shift pattern, working Sunday to Wednesday one week and Sunday to Tuesday the following week, with working hours of 08:00-20:00.
Reporting to the Inventory and Systems Manager, you will lead, motivate, and support a team of Inventory Operatives, playing a key role in maintaining the accuracy, control, and integrity of stock across the operation. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of inventory control, producing and analysing daily and weekly stock performance reports, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring stock-related issues are identified and resolved efficiently and effectively. Working closely with the warehouse team and client stakeholders, you will support the delivery of operational targets and key performance indicators by maintaining accurate stock records, overseeing cycle counts, and ensuring all system activities are completed within agreed timescales.
You will build strong working relationships across the operation, provide effective solutions to stock-related challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also ensure that all processes are carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, relevant legislation, and industry best practice.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in stock control within a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of inventory processes and the importance of maintaining stock accuracy. You will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to analyse information and resolve issues effectively. You will be confident using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel skills, with the ability to produce reports and manage data accurately. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with warehouse teams, customers, and internal stakeholders.
