Job summary

GSF Car Parts is seeking a highly organised Stock Control Operative to join our warehouse team in the UK. You will manage stock movement, maintain inventory accuracy and support efficient dispatch.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and a proactive approach to solving stock issues; forklift license is desirable but not essential, and experience with SAP/WMS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stock control, warehousing, or a similar operational role.
• Clear understanding of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS).
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, email).
• Forklift licence (desirable).
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular stock checks and stock audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Manage stock levels and ensure correct storage, labelling and categorisation.
• Receive and process stock deliveries matching order specifications.
• Report discrepancies between physical stock and system records and take corrective action.
• Update and maintain accurate records on the inventory management system.
• Monitor shelf life and rotate stock to minimise waste.
• Assist in stock replenishment and place orders with suppliers as required.
• Support logistics with packing, sorting and shipping of goods.
• Identify slow-moving stock and plan appropriate actions with the team.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve stock-related issues.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
