About the role:

We are seeking an Inventory Co-ordinator to oversee the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) for our valued customers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, reviewing forecasts, coordinating with the supply chain, and maintaining regular communication with customers to ensure optimal inventory levels and seamless operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication abilities to foster positive relationships with both internal teams and external customers. Knowledge of fasteners, PPE and other MRO products would be useful although full training will be provided.

Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities as our Inventory Co-ordinator will include:

  • Manage customer accounts and ensure timely and accurate execution of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) processes.
  • Review demand forecasts and inventory levels to optimise stock levels and meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure efficient inventory replenishment and distribution.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates on inventory status.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, logistics, and production to fulfil customer orders and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Analyse inventory performance metrics and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and cultivate strong relationships to enhance customer satisfaction.

Skills & Attributes we're looking for in our Inventory Co-ordinator:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of fasteners, PPE and other MRO products would be useful although full training will be provided.
  • Proficient in the use of basic computer applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to learn about new technologies and products.
