About the Role

In this dynamic position, you’ll be at the heart of our fast‑paced department, coordinating Goods‑In processes, managing stock efficiently, and supporting clinical and non‑clinical areas. By ensuring the right products are available at the right time, you’ll directly contribute to the exceptional care we provide to our patients.

What You’ll Do
  • Managing the receipting, accurate recording, and return of inbound and outbound goods, products, and medical implants.
  • Supporting the Inventory and Stores Manager in reviewing stock usage and recommending stock levels for clinical areas.
  • Overseeing high‑value hospital stock located in stores, using electronic systems to manage inventory and generate picking lists.
  • Ensuring proper stock rotation using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to prevent wastage.
  • Engaging with clinical staff to review stock usage and address any concerns regarding obsolete or redundant items.
  • Running reports, expediting outstanding orders, and managing delivery/returns for loaned kits and other medical products.
  • Learning and utilizing the hospital’s Purchase‑to‑Pay system for ordering and inventory management.
What We’re Looking For
  • Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in purchasing, stock, or stores management.
  • Be confident using computers and learning new systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Can work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritise workloads.

While not essential, experience within a healthcare environment or familiarity with GHX PowerGate, NEXUS, or PowerGate Web systems would be a bonus.

Why Work at KIMS Hospital?
  • A competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Extra time off for your birthday.
  • Free annual flu vaccinations and eye tests.
