Job summary

Southern Ecological Solutions (SES) is seeking an Invasive Weed Surveyor / Project Manager to join our growing team in East of England. You will survey for Japanese knotweed and other invasives, prepare clear technical reports and weed management plans, and advise clients on treatment options.

The role combines field surveys, office reporting, project management and some home working, with hybrid setup across site, office and home. Travel across the East of England is expected.

Qualifications

• Invasive weed surveying experience with knotweed and related species.
• Experience producing technical reports and management plans.
• Knowledge of waste, environmental and biosecurity requirements.
• CSJK qualification and PA1/PA6AW pesticide qualifications.
• CSCS card and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out surveys for Japanese knotweed and other invasive non-native species.
• Produce clear survey reports and Invasive Weed Management Plans.
• Advise clients on treatment, control and remediation options.
• Manage treatment programmes across residential, commercial and development sites.
• Oversee excavation, removal, burial and disposal works.
• Supervise in-situ herbicide treatment programmes.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and site teams.
• Monitor project progress, costs and quality.
• Maintain site records and supporting documentation.
• Support quotations, tenders and technical proposals.
• Ensure work complies with legislation and procedures.
