Job summary

The Grounds Care Group is seeking an Environmental Surveyor to cover the South East region from Leatherhead. The role involves surveying residential and commercial sites for Japanese knotweed and other invasive weeds, producing detailed reports and recommendations.

Ideal candidates have surveying experience, attention to detail and a proactive, communicative approach. Travel across the South East is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in surveying in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in horticulture or ecology would be an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out site surveys of properties to identify invasive weeds and knotweed.
  • Prepare and submit reports with site observations, photos and recommendations.
  • Provide technical specifications for project plans and costing.
  • Liaise with operations teams and clients.

We carry out Grounds Maintenance, LandscapeImprovement Works, Bulk Waste Removal, Japanese Knotweed Treatments,Gritting/Snow Clearance and Winter Maintenance Services for our multipleClients across the UK and are now seeking an enthusiastic surveyor to join ourteam to cover the South East region to carry out invasive weed surveys.

Duties

  • To carry out site surveys of residential and commercial properties toidentify the presence of Japanese Knotweed and other invasive weeds
  • Preparingand submitting reports with site observations, photographs andrecommendations
  • Toprovide technical specifications for project plans and costing
