Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is recruiting a Staff Nurse - Radiology (Band 5) to join the Interventional Radiology Suite at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. The role involves working evenings, weekends and bank holidays on call, within a fast-paced theatre environment with ionising radiation exposure and lead apron use.

You will work alongside consultants, radiographers and nursing staff to deliver pre, peri and post-operative care for acute and chronically ill inpatients, providing

Qualifications

• RGN with NMC registration.
• Acute hospital experience.
• Experience working at Band 5 or above in an acute clinical setting.
• Experience working in Interventional Radiology or procedural environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality nursing care and participate in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for the patient group.
• Deliver compassionate person-centred care to patients, their families and carers with dignity and respect.
• Supervise and teach junior staff and students as required.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure timely delivery of care and effective communication.
