Job Summary

The Kent Interventional Radiology Centre is a purpose‑built unit at the Kent and Canterbury site, fitted with the latest Siemens Artis Pheno angiography system with robotic assistance, full anaesthetic facilities and a dedicated 6‑bed Day Case Unit opened in May 2022. The unit supports the regional reconfiguration of Vascular services. It runs alongside a hybrid Endovascular Theatre updated with a Siemens Artis system. The Trust plans to open a third imaging suite, fitted with a Siemens Icono unit by June 2024 to support the regional Stroke Thrombectomy service. The Radiology department is a large and successful department with 5 CT scanners and 5 MRI scanners with mobile MRI and CT increasing capacity further. The Trust has recently introduced two SPECT/CT units in Nuclear Medicine.
