Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting Intervention Tutors to work across welcoming secondary schools in North Leeds, starting September 2026. Flexible long-term and temp-to-perm opportunities are available, with potential for permanent roles for the right candidate.

Ideal for recent graduates seeking classroom experience before progressing into teaching or related fields, you will deliver targeted interventions 1:1 or in small groups, supporting pupils to close gaps and raise attainment in English,

Qualifications

Recent degree in Education, English, Maths, Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Health & Social Care or related subject.
Experience with children or young people via tutoring, mentoring, volunteering or school placements is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Deliver targeted intervention sessions in English, Maths or other areas to individuals or small groups.
Support pupils with additional academic, emotional or behavioural needs to engage with learning.
Identify learning gaps with teachers and implement tailored intervention plans.
Adapt activities to meet individual pupil needs and learning styles.
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to staff and pupils.
Help pupils prepare for assessments and achieve learning targets.
Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
