Intervention Teaching Assistant Immediate Paid Trial Temp to Perm North London

Role: Intervention Teaching Assistant

Start: ASAP

Location: Islington, North London

Contract: Full time

Rate: 90-110 per day

School: Primary

Remedy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Intervention Teaching Assistant who is willing to support Key Stage 2 pupils in a classroom setting.

This amazing Intervention Teaching Assistant role involves supporting children both academically and behaviorally. As an Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the students.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioral challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirements:

  • Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
  • Experience with SEND: A solid understanding of and experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.
  • Passion for education: A genuine enthusiasm for contributing to the educational development and well-being of young individuals.
  • A - C in both Maths and English.
