Are you a proactive Intervention Teaching Assistant looking to support young learners in a vibrant primary school? This full-time position offers the chance to work closely with children who benefit from tailored interventions, helping them reach their full potential.

About the Role

Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a well-regarded, Ofsted-rated "Good" primary school in the NG2 area of Nottingham. We're seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to deliver intervention support across KS1 and KS2. You'll be working with pupils who require additional help, including those with SEND, to implement structured learning plans that boost academic and emotional development.

You'll play a key role in supporting individual progress, reinforcing classroom learning in smaller, focused group settings and occasionally one to one. This is a long-term role with real scope for a permanent offer for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers to plan and deliver intervention activities.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils with special educational needs and those requiring extra academic input.
  • Adapt teaching materials to suit varying learning styles and levels of ability.
  • Help maintain a calm, focused learning environment and record pupil progress.

What We're Looking For

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a primary school, ideally delivering interventions.
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset and confidence working with a range of pupil abilities and needs.

Why Work with Long Term Futures?

  • Ongoing, secure full-time work - no day-to-day supply.
  • Opportunities to gain permanent employment within supportive schools.
  • A dedicated consultant offering guidance throughout your placement.
  • Trial days instead of interviews - so you can experience the school before committing.
