Intervention Teacher - KS1/KS2

Leicester City Centre

Full-time

Career Teachers are working with a large Primary School near Leicester City who are seeking a full-time (or part-time) intervention teacher to deliver catch-up sessions as part of the National Tutoring Programme.

The role involves delivering small group interventions to children across Key Stage 1 and 2 to enhance attainment levels under the catch-up funded programme.

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering small group sessions for Maths and English. The successful candidate will be expected to plan sequences of work for children of varying abilities and collaborate closely with the class teachers for each year group. The position starts mid-March 2023 and is expected to continue for the remainder of the academic year.

Requirements include:

  • Qualified Teacher Status; NQTs/ECTs are considered
  • Experience working across the Primary age range
  • Passion for teaching
  • High expectations of behaviour
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative small group sessions for KS1 children
  • Ability to mark and assess work effectively
  • Strong behaviour management skills
