Job Purpose
The Intervention Operations Specialist provides a critical link between client expectations and industry regulators, shaping Well Service Operations delivery within the NAM Service Center.
- GOM intervention operations subject matter expert
- Technical Leader - Mentor to develop team knowledge
- Owner of operational standardization and systematic improvement
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Well Services products, operations, and workflows
- Ensure compliance with standards (STD 53, 17G, CFR)
- Own operational readiness within the Service Readiness Level framework
- Drive standardization for intervention services across customers
- Plan and optimize maintenance activities and sparing philosophy
- Maintain accurate operational documentation
- Support troubleshooting, recovery efforts, and root cause analysis
- Identify and support Lean processes (Gemba walks, Obeya)
- Engage with clients to understand operational needs
- Present solutions and improvements, fostering client relationships
- Collaborate with Product Manager, Operations Manager, Engineering, and offshore teams
- Support contractual agreements, improvements, and negotiations
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years industry experience, with 5+ in leadership roles
- Knowledge of intervention standards (e.g., 30CFR 250, STD 53)
- Self-driven with minimal oversight
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Committed to client success, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor staff
- Decisive in fast-paced environments
- Proficient in MS Office, scheduling, and ERP software
- Relevant offshore training (Rig Pass, T-HUET, etc.)
Work Environment
Office setting with frequent trips to shops and other offices. Exposure to shop hazards, high noise, heavy machinery. Fast-paced with changing priorities. Offsite and offshore travel required.
Physical Demands
Sitting, operating computers, active Gemba roles in shops or offshore. Physical demands increase offshore.
