Are you an experienced Respiratory Nurse with an interest in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)?Are you passionate about improving patient experience and delivering safe, high-quality care?If so, there is an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 team leader to join the new ILD service.This role will be trust wide and will include both advanced inpatient ward assessments and managing nurse-led ILD clinics within outpatients. The candidate will require a high level of motivation and experience as this role will require a high level of autonomy. The candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills to support and educate patients and their families with self-management. The candidate will work closely with team members and the MDT to improve outcomes for patients presenting with problems and concerns that may be of a complex nature.
Nurse led clinics- 3, alongside Consultants to begin with, will include NFTF in the absence of Consultant clinicsSpecialist Advice - telephone advice to patients when they ring help lineResults - checking blood results of the patients on medicationsService development/leadership - contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies, help us in becoming a Tier 2 prescribing centre for antifibrotics, restart ILD support group, once in 3 months or soResearch/Audit, Governance ILD Registry-2-4 hours per weekILD MDT- Mid Yorks ILD MDT- 1 hour a month, Leeds ILD MDT- 1 hour a week, Leeds pathology MDT- 1 hour a month
