Job summary

Vattenfall is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support our Onshore Wind Development team in Great Britain, focusing on English and Scottish projects in the development phase. You will help drive progression from concept through design, environmental surveys and planning, and assist in preparing business cases for final investment decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support Onshore Wind Development Project Managers by delivering internal and external milestones and approvals for development phase (pre-construction) onshore wind projects in Great Britain.
• Maintain control over project management documents and processes, such as timelines, management plans, risk registers, stakeholder matrices, budgets and more.
• Lead specific onshore wind design workstreams as delegated by a project manager (e.g., stakeholder engagement plan, ecological surveys, civil design).
• Create and maintain long-term relationships with other Vattenfall departments and external consultants involved in the projects.
• Promote a safety-conscious, professional team.
• Communicate with landowners, public officials and other local stakeholders.

Job description

The Associate Project Manager will support our team of Project Managers with a focus on English and Scottish onshore wind projects in the development phase. This covers all aspects of project progression and design from initial concept to environmental survey, detailed design, planning submission, procurement, route to market and financing, and, finally, developing a business case for a final investment decision.

This is an opportunity to be a key part of the design team bringing forward new British wind projects which will power our lives with fossil-free electricity.

Main Responsibilities

• To support Onshore Wind Development Project Managers and project teams by delivering internal and external milestones and approvals for development phase (pre-construction) onshore wind projects in Great Britain.
• Maintain control over key project management documents and processes, such as project timelines, project management plans, risk registers, stakeholder matrices, budgets and more.
• To lead specific onshore wind design-related workstreams as delegated by a project manager, this might include, for example, drafting a stakeholder engagement plan, overseeing ecological survey activities, or managing civil engineering design of an onshore wind project.
• Create and maintain good long-term relationships with other Vattenfall departments and external consultants involved in the projects
• Help promote a safety conscious, professional team
• Communicate with landowners, public officials and other local stakeholders.
