Job description

International Placement Coordinator - Strength and Conditioning

This role involves coordinating and supporting IUSCA placement activity, including communication with applicants, participants, universities, host organisations, and internal staff. The post holder would help manage the placement journey from application and selection through to preparation, documentation, communication, welfare support, host liaison, and post-placement review.

The role requires strong organisational ability, professional communication, judgement, and a sound understanding of strength and conditioning practice. The post holder should be able to interpret participant experience, host expectations, placement suitability, and professional standards in order to support safe, effective, and well‑matched placement opportunities.

This role appears to align with IQF Level 6, as it requires autonomous professional judgement, applied understanding of strength and conditioning practice, and responsibility for coordinating complex placement activity across universities, host organisations, and participants. Although the role is not primarily an S&C delivery role, it requires degree‑level understanding of the S&C environment, practitioner competencies, professional standards, participant suitability, placement risk, communication with host staff, and the ability to make evidence‑informed decisions under practical and operational constraints.

Associated IUSCA IQF Certification.

Salary and Role Alignment: Green. The advertised salary appears appropriately aligned with a full‑time Level 6 coordination role requiring professional judgement, sector‑specific knowledge, participant support, host liaison, operational responsibility, and understanding of S&C competencies. Although the role is not a direct coaching position, the requirement for Level 6 S&C understanding is proportionate because the post holder would need to assess placement suitability, communicate credibly with host organisations, and support decisions that affect participant development, host relationships, and professional standards.

This role has been classified by IUSCA based on publicly available information. The classification is intended to support professional transparency and help practitioners and employers understand the relationship between role scope, responsibility, autonomy, qualification expectations, and salary alignment. Applicants should review the original advert before applying.
