Job summary

Quay Personnel's client, an engineering company in the Salford area, seeks an experienced Internal Sales Engineer to join on a permanent basis. You will assist in quoting and selling motors, pumps, gearboxes and related equipment, and handle daily paperwork.

The role includes stock management, following up on quotes, fulfilling orders for the sales website, liaising with suppliers, and providing out-of-hours support. A basic salary around £40K with quarterly bonus and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification preferred (ONC to degree) in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in electric motor/rotating equipment sales.
• Training by original equipment manufacturers is advantageous.
• IT competence including Sage, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in quoting and selling motors and rotating equipment as part of motor sales.
• Complete daily department paperwork and quotations.
• Manage motor stock and conduct stock checks every 4 weeks.
• Follow up on quotes with customers and track progress.
• Assist in fulfilling orders for the sales website.
• Liaise with suppliers to secure best terms and seek new suppliers.
• Provide support to sales and other departments as needed.
• Provide out-of-hours support via mobile for workshop motor queries.
