Job summary

Coventry City Council’s Adult Education Service seeks an Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to maintain and enhance the quality and standards of its educational programmes. The IQA will support assessment processes, ensure compliance with QA standards, and help develop teaching and assessment staff.

This role requires knowledge of QA and awarding bodies and an emphasis on accuracy and safeguarding. The post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act; DBS checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance processes and regulatory requirements in education.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Awarding Organisation guidance in Health, Social Care & Residential Childcare.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to assessors and programme education staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance quality and standards of educational programmes.
• Support the assessment process and ensure compliance with QA standards.
• Contribute to development of teaching and assessment staff to meet regulatory requirements.
