Job summary

Argus Media is seeking an experienced Internal Controls & Governance Manager to join the Finance team in a newly created role. You will strengthen and formalise our approach to internal controls, policies and governance, with autonomy to shape how controls operate across Argus.

Ideal candidates are qualified accountants or audit professionals with external audit, risk assurance, internal audit or internal controls experience, familiar with COSO and ERP systems such as NetSuite.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting or audit qualification.
• Experience at Manager level with ownership and autonomy.
• Good understanding of internal controls, risk and governance.
• Experience documenting and testing financial controls.
• Understanding of IT general controls and ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite).
• A good understanding of COSO with exposure to SOX-style controls.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to engage with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Argus' Group-wide internal controls framework.
• Document key financial and operational processes, risks and controls.
• Develop control matrices, process documentation and control evidence requirements.
• Perform walkthroughs and assess control design and operation.
• Coordinate controls testing and remediation actions.
• Support COSO-aligned control environment development.
