Job summary

SSE is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to support IT/OT communications, shaping the way colleagues understand digital, data, AI, cyber security and transformation activities. You will lead campaigns, messages and events across digital and in-person channels.

The role requires turning complex tech content into clear, accessible language, building trusted relationships with leaders and project teams, and delivering high-quality work on tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT, technology or digital communications and change communications, ideally covering transformation, data, AI or cyber security.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, turning complex information into clear content.
• Strong relationship-building skills to work with leaders and teams at different levels.
• Good planning and organisational skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Curious, inclusive and adaptable, bringing fresh perspectives and using feedback to improve communications.

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations; Reading, Penner, Glasgow, Perth

Salary: £44,000 – 65,900 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

The IT/OT Internal Communications Manager will support the planning, delivery and evaluation of internal communications activity across SSE's IT/OT function, helping colleagues understand and engage with digital, data, AI, cyber security, operational technology and transformation activities.

You will

You have
