Job summary

HSBC Group seeks an experienced Internal Auditor Analytics in the UK. You will partner with audit teams to turn audit objectives into automated, data-driven testing and insights, building advanced analytics capabilities across regions.

The role emphasizes delivering continuous controls testing, stronger coverage, and timely assurance while navigating cross-border data considerations. Being part of Global Audit Analytics, you will influence stakeholders, design innovative analytical solutions,

Qualifications

• Degree in information systems, accounting, maths, quantitative/numerical sciences, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with BI/analytics and visualisation tools (Qlik Sense, Tableau).
• Experience building or supporting ETL/data preparation and working with structured datasets end-to-end.
• Strong programming/querying skills for analytics (Python, R, SQL).
• Practical experience applying Generative AI tools/techniques in analytics or assurance.
• Experience designing and implementing advanced analytics/data science solutions.
• Audit experience (internal/external) is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with audit teams to translate objectives into analytics and automated testing.
• Identify risk drivers to help monitor risk and optimize resourcing and scoping.
• Design and deliver tests of control using digitised data and analytics.
• Build and run continuous controls testing to improve coverage and assurance quality.
• Develop understanding of data sources, structures, and metadata across areas.
• Deliver analytics solutions through an agile, iterative approach and adapt to needs.
• Ensure solutions are delivered safely, compliant with policies and regulations.
