Job summary

Coventry City Council's Internal Audit Service is seeking a motivated individual to join our diverse team. You will gain experience in governance, risk management and internal controls while contributing to audits across the council.

Two-year pathway to professional qualifications with support and practical experience; initial work alongside experienced auditors and progression to Senior Auditor with increasing responsibility. Right to work in the UK required; sponsorship not provided.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
• Willingness to develop professional qualifications in Internal Audit
• Strong analytical and communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist in governance, risk management and internal control evaluations.
• Contribute to audits across council services, providing insight and assurance.
• Progress through a structured development pathway toward a Senior Auditor role.
