Job description

Want to use your audit expertise in an organisation that helps millions of people save for retirement?

We're looking for an Internal Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit team at People's Partnership. You'll provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control arrangements across one of the UK's largest workplace pension providers, supporting our growth and transformation agenda while helping us deliver good outcomes for our members.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced internal audit practitioner to lead audits across some of the most important activities within a large workplace pension provider, including pension administration, member servicing, scheme governance, outsourcing arrangements, operational resilience and member outcomes. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing meaningful insight and challenge on key pension risks, regulatory developments and operational issues that influence member outcomes and pension service delivery.

Given the nature of the role, we're particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of the pensions sector, including pension administration, scheme operations or trustee governance.

Why join People's Partnership?

Helping people build financial foundations for life has always been at the heart of what we do. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise across pension administration, scheme operations and trustee governance while working with senior stakeholders across one of the UK's largest workplace pension providers. You'll join a function committed to delivering meaningful insight and assurance while continuously evolving how Internal Audit supports the business.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading and delivering audits across key pensions activities, including pension administration, benefit processing, member servicing, scheme governance, outsourcing arrangements, operational resilience and member outcomes.
  • Providing independent advice and forward-looking insights on key pension risks, governance, member outcomes and internal control arrangements.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and communicating clear, evidence-based insights throughout audit and advisory engagements.
  • Supporting the development of the audit plan through ongoing risk assessment, business insight and identification of emerging pensions risks, regulatory developments and industry themes.
  • Coaching colleagues and contributing to the continued development of a modern, agile and insight-driven Internal Audit function.
You could be a great fit if you:
  • Have experience delivering internal audits in pensions, financial services or another regulated environment.
  • Can connect audit findings, business objectives and emerging risks to provide insight that supports informed decision-making.
  • Enjoy building relationships and working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
