Job summary

Brewer Morris is partnering with a leading Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm to strengthen its Internal Audit team with an Assistant Manager. The role blends client engagement, people management and technical delivery across diverse sectors.

You will manage audits from planning to reporting, coach junior staff and collaborate with senior stakeholders, boards and Audit Committees. This is a stepping stone for career progression within a supportive, technically strong environment.

Qualifications

• Must have professionally qualified credentials (CMIIA, CIA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Experience in internal audit within professional services or in-house internal audit function.
• Experience handling a broad range of clients and sectors.
• Strong report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Organised, commercially aware and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive with a genuine interest in developing technical and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support management of a portfolio of internal audit clients and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Assist with risk-based internal audit plans and annual audit programmes.
• Lead and deliver internal audit assignments from planning through reporting.
• Prepare high-quality audit reports and review junior team members' work.
• Support client meetings, Audit Committee presentations and wider stakeholder engagement.

Main Responsibilities

Requirements

• Professionally qualified (CMIIA, CIA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Previous internal audit experience gained within professional services or an in-house internal audit function.
• Experience working with a broad range of clients and sectors
• Strong report writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Organised, commercially aware and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• A proactive individual with a genuine interest in developing their technical and client-facing skills.
