Hussmann is offering a Quotation Specialist Intern position as part of its 2027 Summer Internship Program. The internship provides meaningful, real-life experience in the food retailing industry and opportunities to work across the Northeast team on quotation support.

Responsibilities include preparing sales quotations, processing quotes, proofreading orders, maintaining price lists, and engaging with senior leaders during a twelve-week program that includes ideation and innovation challenges.

Qualifications

Hussmann's Internship Program provides meaningful, real-life experiences while working as a solutions leader in the food retailing industry. Hussmann interns receive competitive compensation, participate in community stewardship, network with company leadership, and learn about career opportunities available at Hussmann.

As a Quotation Specialist Intern in the 2027 Hussmann Summer Internship Program, you will gain experience and insight into the day in the life of a Quoting professional. You will work across the Northeast team to provide quotation support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sales/customer quotations and/or correspondence, including equipment refrigeration, and buy-out items, assembling prices and engineering information, and determine proper document requirements.
• Process/complete the sales quotes/orders in a timely fashion using company approved systems.
• Responsible for proofing orders before forwarding them to the Sales Support Specialist.
• Maintain/update current price lists.
• Promote a good flow of communication and teamwork between departments.
• Network with senior leaders, associates, and other program interns to learn about our organization.
• Tour Hussmann's 1.6 million square foot manufacturing facility, our Global Hub for hosting customers, and the R&D Lab where we test product quality.
• Participate in community stewardship outreach, career development events, and other team-building offsite events.
• Compete in our annual Ideation & Innovation Challenge.

Ideation & Innovation Challenge:

Throughout the twelve-week program, all Hussmann interns will divide into cross-functional teams and compete with one another for the Hussmann Ideation & Innovation Challenge. Working with Hussmann mentors and leaders, you and your team will identify a solution to a provided problem statement. At the end of the summer, you’ll present your team’s business proposal to a panel of judges, executive leaders, and the organization – and possibly create a roadmap for Hussmann’s next great innovation.

• Currently enrolled in school pursuing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Highly motivated and eager to learn
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to relocate, if not local

The summer internship will run from the third week of May through the first week of August. These dates may be changed to meet the needs of the student.
