Job Title:Interim Demand Planning Manager

Location:Peterborough (Hybrid)

Salary:Up to £55,000

Job Type:Fixed Term Contract 3 months

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for forecasting and team leadership?

We are seeking an experiencedDemand Planning Managerto lead our clients Demand Planning Team on an interim basis for 3 months, driving forecast accuracy and ensuring exceptional service for our customers. In this pivotal role, you will develop data-driven demand plans, collaborate with key stakeholders, and optimise processes to align supply with market needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Demand Planning Team, fostering a high-performance culture with clear KPIs and development plans.
  • Oversee the creation of an accurate demand forecast using historical data, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Drive the S&OP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment with sales, supply, and category teams.
  • Build strong relationships with customer forecasters to enhance collaboration and service levels.
  • Conduct S&OP review meetings to refine forecasts and communicate variances to stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve demand planning processes and system utilisation (experience with demand planning software preferred).
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Represent Demand Planning in cross-functional projects, driving efficiency and innovation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by adhering to best practices in health and safety.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Essential:Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Strong background in demand planning/forecasting in the FMCG industry.
  • Expertise in S&OP processes, statistical forecasting, and demand planning software.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, BI systems) and high numerical proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
