Job description

Join a growing and dynamic multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy as an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer.

You will work on projects across various sectors such as commercial, health, education, defence, residential, and community.

As an Intermediate/Senior Engineer, you will provide engineering support with expertise in M&E engineering in the built environment, including design and project management responsibilities.

You will meet with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs, and meet annual and monthly fee targets as directed by the office partner.

The responsibilities include:

• Ensuring projects are completed to high standards, on time, and within budget.
• Carrying out fee-earning work and participating in scheme design where appropriate.
• Completing tasks assigned by the team leader, including engineering formation and cost-effective solutions.
• Drawing up specifications and drawings based on client briefs.
• Reviewing tenders, preparing reports, and making recommendations.
• Managing site works from start to finish.
• Monitoring site work and finalising contractor accounts.
• Inspecting existing installations and submitting condition reports.
• Preparing monthly fee invoices.

Essential skills and experience include:

• A degree or master's in Engineering.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The Energy Institute (preferred).
• Chartered Engineer status or nearing it.
• A full driving license and access to a vehicle.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with IES (Mechanical) or Amtech (Electrical) software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes, and standards.
