Role – Intermediate/Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)
Location – Belfast
Salary – 35k – 55k (DOE)

Overview

We're working with a long–established, multi–disciplinary consultancy boasting over 45 years of industry experience. With a team of 40–50 professionals across MEP, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, and Sustainability (including BREEAM and Building Physics), they foster a collaborative and dynamic work culture. Their MEP division, comprising 15–20 specialists, is expanding and looking for an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Engineer to support a growing project pipeline.

You'll contribute to a variety of high–impact developments including healthcare, urban regeneration, leisure, and student living spaces–supporting legacy clients while playing a key role in new commissions.

Role

As an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll take ownership of key project elements–supporting delivery across sectors such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and public health. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll be responsible for producing high–quality electrical designs, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring technical excellence on every project.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (Essential)

• Progress toward CIBSE Chartership (Ideal)

• Proven experience in Building Services engineering design

• Ability to manage workload and assist in running medium–sized projects

• Experience working as an Intermediate/Senior Electrical Design Engineer.

• Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset

• Familiarity with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, DIALux, Amtech, Navisworks (preferred)

• Working knowledge of CIBSE guidelines and UK building standards

• Full right to work in the UK
