Job Description:

We are working with a well-established and reputable scaffolding specialist contractor based in Manchester, who are currently looking to add an Intermediate Estimator to their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a scaffolding professional with strong estimating experience and familiarity with Smart Scaffolder to join a business that works on a wide variety of commercial and industrial projects across the North West.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive scaffolding estimates and tender submissions.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications and scope documents to assess pricing and resourcing.
  • Carry out site visits and assessments when required to inform pricing and method.
  • Utilise Smart Scaffolder software to produce 3D visualisations, material lists, and accurate quotations.
  • Liaise closely with contracts managers, clients, and commercial team to ensure a joined-up approach to winning and delivering work.
  • Monitor costings against project budgets and contribute to value engineering where applicable.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience within the scaffolding sector.
  • Proficiency in Smart Scaffolder is essential.
  • Strong understanding of scaffolding methods, systems, and materials.
  • Excellent communication and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
