Job description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and reputable groundworks contractor in Sheffield.

The Role

Our client is recruiting for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor with 3 - 5 + years of experience in the groundworks sector. This is a fantastic chance to further develop your QS career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

You'll be involved in a variety of residential groundwork projects, work is primarily office-based, with visits to project sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and reporting project costs and progress
  • Subcontractor procurement and management
  • Valuations and variations
  • Preparing and submitting accurate forecasts and cost reports
  • Supporting commercial strategy and delivery on a variety of groundwork packages

Requirements

  • Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience, ideally in residential groundworks or civil engineering
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive attitude and desire to progress within the business
