About your new role

Accidents involving motor vehicles give rise to countless claims and legal actions, affecting various businesses, non-commercial organisations, and their insurers. The volume of cases and potential costs can significantly impact operational performance.

We need a service that processes cases efficiently and achieves satisfactory settlements. Weightmans' Motor team is a market leader, offering dedicated services in fast track, multi track, fraud, credit hire, indemnity issues, and representation at inquests and criminal prosecutions.

We are recruiting for a Solicitor/Senior Solicitor with 3-4 years PQE to manage a caseload of intermediate/multi track motor cases in Liverpool or Manchester.

Main duties and responsibilities
  1. Manage caseload effectively and efficiently
  2. Review liability, quantum, and Claimant Solicitor conduct; devise handling strategies
  3. Liaise with solicitors, insurers, police, and witnesses to gather evidence
  4. Instruct experts as needed
  5. Control Case Manager Diary and action lists
  6. Attend court hearings, conferences, and JSMs as directed
  7. Assist in supervising and developing junior team members
  8. Complete MI procedures and ensure Data Protection Compliance
  9. Comply with CPR and rehabilitation protocols
  10. Stay updated on high-value personal injury legal developments
  11. Achieve financial and KPI targets
  12. Meet deadlines and quality standards

This list is not exhaustive; other duties may be assigned within the role's scope.

About You

You should have experience handling motor multi-track litigated claims and a genuine interest in this area. Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
