Job description

Mechanical Design Engineer
Office Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £35k - £45k (dependant on experience)

Are you looking to join a growing, technically-focused consultancy that delivers projects from concept to completion? They’re over a decade old, well-established building services design consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, detailed design solutions across industrial, aviation, and data centre sectors.

With a team of 25 and ambitious but sustainable plans to grow by at least a few people per year, they maintain a steady pace that ensures quality and team cohesion. Their workload is a balanced mix—30% architectural and 70% MEP design—and they thrive on delivering real value to their clients through detailed, end-to-end design, not just stopping at Stage 3.

They work on projects ranging from £50k up to £150 million, with their sweet spot around the £20–30 million mark. Their client base includes high-profile names with relationships that span many years.

What They Expect
  • They’re seeking driven, communicative, and client-facing engineers who are confident in both design and interpersonal engagement. You'll be:
  • Comfortable attending site visits and leading conversations with clients.
  • Working in a supportive, office-based team environment with a progressive monthly Friday off as part of a new initiative they have.
  • Contributing to a growing, £2 million turnover business where your input will directly influence their continued success.
Why Join Us?
  • Real Design Work: They go beyond concepts—their focus is on fully detailed design and technical delivery.
  • People-Centric Culture: their team has historically been stable and cohesive.
  • Growth Opportunity: Be part of an exciting growth journey, contributing to an expanding and evolving company.
  • High-Quality Projects: From industrial units to major aviation schemes, you'll work on diverse and complex projects that make a real impact.
Interested?

We’d love to hear from engineers who are looking for a long-term opportunity with real project ownership, a close-knit team, and clients that value deep technical excellence.
